Our education collaborators are working on programs to implement the app in STEM classrooms and clubs for kids and teens nationally and around the world to learn about how engineering shapes our every day lives. Kids and teens in these programs will be invited to connect with engineers through the app so they can meet and interact with professionals in their fields of interest. Please contact us to learn more about the program and how you can participate.

I want others to know...

I am an incredibly driven student that has worked hard to improve my work ethic and confidence in my own abilities. Growing up, I was incredibly shy and had a stutter that would stop me from speaking up. Since then, I've made the effort to involve myself in leadership positions and improve my communication skills with others. Therefore, being surrounded by not only like-minded individuals but people from all backgrounds is incredibly foundational to who I am as a person. It is my hope to continue to interact with people that can open my world to new perspectives and develop my understanding of the passions and values of the people I come across.

This is My Story

I grew up coming from a low-income Hispanic background with no connections to the medical field. Therefore, I had to learn pretty quickly to speak up for myself and go after any opportunities that presented themselves to me.
I knew I wanted to pursue a job in the medical field after becoming interested in neurology from a young age. My dad would take me to Barnes & Nobles and let me pick out any books I wanted (I would always choose the ones with brains on the covers) so it became a pretty big part of my life.

What classes have you used most?

As a high school looking to go to college and pursue a STEM major, my science-related AP classes, such as AP Chemistry and AP Psychology, have taught me a lot about what subjects interest me. Before taking these classes, I had not truly been challenged and not only were the units applicable to my intended major, they gave me the opportunity to engage with college-level courses.
