Our education collaborators are working on programs to implement the app in STEM classrooms and clubs for kids and teens nationally and around the world to learn about how engineering shapes our every day lives. Kids and teens in these programs will be invited to connect with engineers through the app so they can meet and interact with professionals in their fields of interest. Please contact us to learn more about the program and how you can participate.

I am...
a rising junior at Lehigh University majoring in Earth and Environmental Science with an intended minor in French. I would like to pursue a career in a meaningful field after graduating, though I am unsure what this will entail.
My typical day at work involves...
As a full-time college student currently on break, I am working with RePicture to create an unforgettable summer program. My typical day at work involves becoming familiar with RePicture, participating in brainstorming sessions, reviewing and giving feedback on course materials, managing the social media and designing posts.
When school is in session, my day-to-day life includes attending classes, completing assignments, and working a part-time job a few times a week.
I want others to know...
It is okay to not know! As a rising college junior, I still have no clue what I'm going to do after I graduate--but I also know that career opportunities are endless and I'll end up where I'm meant to be.
My STEM education has helped me ...
I am relatively new to the STEM field, but the most profound insight my STEM education thus far has given me is the ability to think critically about my own actions and how they impact the natural world around me.
My experience working in teams
Collaborative work has held a significant role in my academic and work life. I work as a Veteran Fellow for the TRAC Writing Fellows Program at Lehigh, a peer tutoring organization focused on fostering student relationships through individual conferences and providing relevant feedback to emphasize the importance of writing and communications across all fields, from English to STEM. TRAC emphasizes student collaboration, recognizing the importance of individual and team work. Several fellows work together to tutor a class at Lehigh, and the program has created a community that has persisted during the challenges of online learning.
Some of my fondest memories from high school involve working on the school newspaper. In order to create a final project that all members of the staff were proud of, we would often discuss ideas, suggest edits, and make compromises. Such a big project required a certain reliance on others to complete their respective portions of the work and a pressure to complete my own work in such a way that I was comfortable attaching mine and my colleagues' names on it. This was my first large-scale collaboration project, and a lot of what I value in teamwork today stems from that experience.
Finally, holding part-time jobs in food service has been the ultimate test of patience, working under pressure, and finding ways to work seamlessly as a team. I have learned valuable lessons from these experiences that I carry with me in various other contexts.
This is My Story
Growing up, I hated going outside. I hated the bugs, I hated the heat, I hated walking and hiking and biking; I thought time spent outside was time wasted. Contradictory, I know. I'm an environmental science major and I spent the majority of my childhood inside, basking in the comfort of heating, A/C, and comfy sofas. At some point in high school, a switch flipped. I began to find a certain peace in the outdoors, one that took me away from the bustle of everyday life and allowed me to simply be. It's this intrinsic value that is so important to nature and important to me, and I eventually realized that I wanted to have a role in its protection and conservation. Becoming an environmental science major has helped me understand the deeper nuances and scientific technicalities of the Earth system, and I'm excited to think that I can be a part of a meaningful, up and coming domain of science in the future.
